Conway Elementary School Reviews

I love this school. Both of my boys have come such a long way since enrolling here. All of the staff are very friendly and helpful.

Great School, Great teachers, special Ms. Dacre, Ms. Canete, Ms. Lattin, Ms. Rymer, Ms. Ramahlakan , they are the best ! Thanks for all the great values you teach to my kids !

Conway Elem is an outstanding school with an extremely caring staff (administrative, instructional and support). Both my children have excelled academically and socially during their years at Conway Elem. The key to academic and social success also depends largely on parent involvement. Conway Elem. encourages and welcomes parent involvement. Be an involved parent through ADDitions, SAC, and PTA to know what is going on at your child's school and to ensure their success.

Conway has provided excellent support for my daughter as she has struggled with my divorce, the school counselor is second to none. My child has attended this school since kindergarden and to date, her teachers have responded quickly to my concerns via e-mail and have been very accommodating. I am disappointed with the principal however, as she has always referred me elsewhere when I have brought matters to her attention.

Music and Art are available to all of the children - which is wonderful! There are sports activities for the 5th graders and PE is available for the children. I believe this is due to the Principal caring about children. Mrs. Babb knows all the children's names and truly does care about kids. I found her to be very kind and supportive of the kids. Although there is a PTA, parental involvement in activities is low. The parents need to get more involved in the children's activities and class rooms. I think this has been a good experience for my child being in a public school this year. I would say this is one of the better schools.

My daughter is in the first grade at Conway, and I must admit she is doing wonderfully. Her reading has improved, she knows math, and she comes home excited about the activities she completed during the day. I'm also very plesed with the activities the school does for the holidays; they involve the children and parents. I have no complains and I just love Ms. Taylor. Conway Elementary is OK with me.

Poor on academics, extracurricular activities, parent envolvement. Did not feel safe with my child at this school either. School is very unorganized.

My grandchildren transferred from the Alabama school system in October 2004. They are currently attending Conway with less than satisfactory results. My son and his wife work every night with each of my grandchildren. This work includes reading and math even on the weekends. Each child reads with their parents each day, every day. Last night my son called after having another meeting with his children's teachers. He and his wife were both very upset because their children were not at grade level. They asked what they could do at home. The teachers told them to continue with what they were doing. Why would this be a solution? It is not. My poor daughter-in-law was in tears. I am not an educator, she said to me; I don't know how to help my children. My grandchildren came to Florida at grade level. Educators should not be able to force a failing.

My son has attended Conway since Kindergarten and he will begin his last year in August. In forth grade he had the best teacher, Ms. Cozad, she was warm, caring, patient and kind! I wish every teacher was like her.
