Beth McKee's roots in New Orleans shone through when she brought her Funky Time Band to Orlando, recently selected by Orlando Weekly as one of 14 musicians to reshape the Orlando music scene. The free Mardi Gras music festival opens at the Orlando Convention Center on Saturday, March 4, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. M., will celebrate the rich history, culture and music of the city and at the same time be a showcase of local and national talent.

Their level of education may vary greatly, but their passion and desire are the same. Her music style is a combination of important influences, including New Orleans music of the late 60s and early 70s. The Funky Time Band, a band that formed in 1987 and has been performing in Orlando since its inception.
